Dr. Kenneth Cruz
LEAN SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT CONSULTANT
Kenneth Cruz obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree in only six years from the joint curriculum program of De La Salle University - Manila and DLSU Medical & Health Sciences Institute. After passing the Physician Licensure Examination, he furthered his studies by taking a four-year Pathology Residency Program at Makati Medical Center. Kenneth discovered his passion for project management while mastering skills in laboratory medicine by using Lean Six Sigma Methodologies to determine and prevent machine and laboratory errors, as well as improve the efficiency of the laboratory. Experiencing results through the application of Lean Six Sigma PH learning inspired him to focus more on his career as a Lean Six Sigma practitioner.
Kenneth is a trained Lean Six Sigma black belt. During training, he was exposed to a multitude of projects, both practical and theoretical. During his green belt training, his project involved Children's Hour Philippines, Inc. which aimed to reduce turnaround time on the donation process. Furthermore, his black belt training project aimed to reduce unreported adverse events in a tertiary hospital.
Currently, he works as a program and process manager for Cashalo. So far, he has written the company's policy framework and other policies and procedure manuals for various departments. All of these were accomplished using the Lean Six Sigma methodology and the learning acquired from Six Sigma PH.
He dreams of helping more hospitals create and improve processes that will, in turn, improve the quality of life of patients. In his free time, he is a cycling enthusiast. He completed the Audax Subic 300 km race in December 2022.
